However, Yorkie poo hair does not have a seasonal hair growth cycle, their coats are finer than other breeds with long and fine hairs.

What Are The Health Conditions Causing Yorkiepoo Hair Loss?
There are some health conditions that lead to Yorkipoo shedding more than normal. The following are some of these conditions however, not all of them are diseases.
Heat
Female Yorkiepoos during heat tends to shed more than normal. This is a normal sign that happens during heat or right before.
Pregnancy
Hormonal changes during pregnancy and lactation may cause a little more shedding. However, the female returns to its normal state after finishing pregnancy and feeding her puppies.
Allergy
Any reason that exacerbates allergic reaction may induce some hair loss because of itching. If you noticed your Yorkiepoo itching its skin, go to the vet to prevent the occurrence of severe hair loss.
Demodectic Mange
Demodectic mange is a parasitic infection caused by Demodex Canis mites. The reproduction of these mites leads to hair loss around the eyes, legs, and body with irritation or crust formation. The vet would prescribe some chewable tablets to treat the condition.
Ringworm
Ringworm is a fungal infection (dermatophytes) that affects the skin of the Yorkiepoo. It causes circular areas of alopecia with or without crust, sometimes it has a red dot in the center but not always. Treatment includes oral medication and topical medication in addition to keeping a good and healthy environment.
Cushing’s Disease
Cushing’s disease is the overproduction of cortisol hormone due to malfunction of the pituitary or adrenal glands. It leads to hair loss in addition to other symptoms including hunger, thinning skin, tiredness, and inactivity. If the disease is due to the presence of a tumor on each of the glands, surgical removal of the tumor will be the perfect solution. However, if there is no tumor, the vet will prescribe medications to return the hormone level to its normal state.
Hypothyroidism
This is a low secretion of thyroid hormone by the thyroid gland. It causes thinning of the fur, weight gain, and reduced activity. Treatment includes some medications that return the hormone to its normal levels.
How To Resist Yorkiepoos Shedding?
If your puppy suffers from any health condition that causes more shedding than normal, go to the vet to detect the cause and prescribe the proper treatment. However, in healthy Yorkiepoos, Keep regular hair brushing every day or 3 times per week to remove the tangles. Additionally, ensure feeding it nutritious food and exercising because this will foster its immunity and maintain the coat in a shiny healthy state.
