Yorkies are a type of small dog that was originally bred in Yorkshire, England. The Yorkie is characterized by its distinctive long body with a heavy head and bushy tail, prominent cheek wrinkles and eyebrows, erect ears set high on the head, almond-shaped eyes that droop slightly at the corners (known as โ€œslantedโ€ eyes), lack of coat or wiry fur over most of their body except for tufts around their neck and feet.

The โ€œwhy does my dog stick the tip of his tongue outโ€ is a question that many people have asked themselves. The answer to this question, is not exactly clear. Some say itโ€™s because they are trying to cool down their body temperature, while others believe itโ€™s because they are tasting something on the ground.

The โ€œyorkie tongue flickingโ€ is a behavior that many Yorkies exhibit when they are happy or excited. The Yorkieโ€™s tongue will flick out and hit the ground, which can be considered a sign of pleasure.
