Yorkies are a type of small dog that was originally bred in Yorkshire, England. The Yorkie is characterized by its distinctive long body with a heavy head and bushy tail, prominent cheek wrinkles and eyebrows, erect ears set high on the head, almond-shaped eyes that droop slightly at the corners (known as โslantedโ eyes), lack of coat or wiry fur over most of their body except for tufts around their neck and feet.
The โwhy does my dog stick the tip of his tongue outโ is a question that many people have asked themselves. The answer to this question, is not exactly clear. Some say itโs because they are trying to cool down their body temperature, while others believe itโs because they are tasting something on the ground.
The โyorkie tongue flickingโ is a behavior that many Yorkies exhibit when they are happy or excited. The Yorkieโs tongue will flick out and hit the ground, which can be considered a sign of pleasure.
