Yorkies are a type of small dog that was originally bred in Yorkshire, England. The Yorkie is characterized by its distinctive long body with a heavy head and bushy tail, prominent cheek wrinkles and eyebrows, erect ears set high on the head, almond-shaped eyes that droop slightly at the corners (known as “slanted” eyes), lack of coat or wiry fur over most of their body except for tufts around their neck and feet.
The “why does my dog stick the tip of his tongue out” is a question that many people have asked themselves. The answer to this question, is not exactly clear. Some say it’s because they are trying to cool down their body temperature, while others believe it’s because they are tasting something on the ground.
The “yorkie tongue flicking” is a behavior that many Yorkies exhibit when they are happy or excited. The Yorkie’s tongue will flick out and hit the ground, which can be considered a sign of pleasure.
